Holmfirth Sensory Garden

We are so pleased to announce that we raised a large cheque to progress our Holmfirth garden project. Why not come and have a look at our lovely calm space near our library. There are so many opportunities the garden will open up to us for the community to enjoy; and we can’t wait to share these experiences with you. Thank you so much to all the Co-op members that chose us last year and helped to make all of this possible.

Storytime and Rhymetime at Huddersfield Library

Storytime and Rhymetime is coming back to Huddersfield Library! Come along and join in the fun on Tuesday mornings. Many of our other libraries are also starting their storytimes and rhymetime events, please check the Children’s and Young People section of our website for more information.

Alfie The Elf

It’s time for some festive fun! Alfie The Elf is coming to the following libraries –

Huddersfield Chess Club

Calling all Chess lovers! There’s a new Chess Club which has started at Huddersfield library on Saturday’s. Whether your a beginner or a expert feel free to join us in the committee room on Saturday afternoons.

Christmas Card making

There’s more festive fun coming your way this Christmas! Bob down to Holmfirth or Almondbury library and get creative with our children’s christmas card making workshop. See the photos for more information. No need to book! Santa will also be paying a visit to Holmfirth and there’ll be some exciting gifts too! We will also be running a storytime so you can get comfy by our Christmas fireplace and listen to a festive tale!
