Aliens Love Underpants, May 2020

When aliens fly down to Earth,

They don’t come to meet YOU…

They simply want your underpants –

I’ll bet you never knew!

This zany, hilarious story is simply out-of-this-world – you’ll laugh your pants off!

We chose Claire Freedman and Ben Cort’s fantastic rhyming story about cheeky aliens for our very first #storyw@lk, a fun reading activity to enjoy at home during the lockdown.

Download a copy of the ebook to share from www.kirklees.overdrive.com, or download the Libby app to make it even easier. Let Ben Cort’s vibrant illustrations inspire you to create your own artwork. Make a picture or model of an alien, underpants or, even better, an alien in underpants! and display it proudly in your window. If you post a picture of your creation and tag us in social media (@kirkleeslibraries on Facebook and Instagram or @kirkleeslibrary on Twitter) you could win your very own brand new copy of the book to keep! The last date for entries is Sunday 31st May 2020.

Please use the hashtag #storywalksfromhome for your competition entries.

Keep your eyes open if you go out to exercise and see how many aliens and underpants you can spot displayed in other families windows.

From 23rd to 31st May 2020 we’ll be posting lots of ideas for fun activities you can do at home based on the book. Also, check out our pick of the best online Aliens Love Underpants stuff below!
