Bunnies on the Bus with Philip Ardagh

Tuesday 17th August, 11am

Watch out! Move out of the way! Hold onto your tails! There are … BUNNIES ON THE BUS! And they aren’t stopping for ANYONE!

Join our BIGGEST LAL! favourite, the awesome Philip Ardagh for a hilarious event featuring his picture book Bunnies on the Bus. His events are “masterclasses in high-energy, interactive, stand-up comedy for a child-and-parent audience… that had the child sitting one along from me actually falling off her chair she was laughing so much.”

We’ll also have a go at a bunny draw along so make sure you’ve got your pencil and paper ready!

Hold on tightly to your chairs and watch us streamed live on Kirklees Libraries YouTube channelTwitter and Facebook pages or catch up later.

If you’d like to share any bunny pictures with us…please send them into us at: lal@kirklees.gov.uk or tag us and Philip on social media -don’t forget the hashtags #bunnies and #lal

We’d like to send out a BIG THANK YOU to KIRKLEES VIRTUAL SCHOOLS for funding this special session and also say HELLO! to all our viewers from the Letterbox Club!

The bunnies have taken over the bus and they’re on a wild ride across the streets of Sunnytown! They whizz past the bus stop, swerve around corners and zoom over crossings on a non-stop roller coaster adventure! There are bunnies on the roof! Bunnies in the aisle! DO sit down, bunnies, or you’ll end up in a pile! Eventually, they come to a stop … at the train station. And what’s that they’ve spotted? A TRAIN! Uh-oh, here we go again… A hilarious romp of a book, with a fantastic read-aloud rhyming text and spectacular illustrations.
